Unbound Within Boundaries was conceived during the global pandemic as an exploration of constraint and resilience. Two dancers, Giovanni Leone and Vittoria Franchina of DANCEHAUSpiù — Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza — perform within a translucent veil of plastic: a fragile surface that both protects and confines.
The material becomes a shifting boundary — physical and symbolic — reflecting the limits imposed by circumstance and those we construct within ourselves. Directed in collaboration with choreographer Matteo Bittante, the work unfolds as a silent dialogue between restriction and expression, tension and release.
Rendered in black and white, the series relies on light and shadow to intensify gesture, texture, and emotional presence. Rather than illustrating confinement, it seeks to reveal the fragile strength that emerges from within it.
