I arrived from “above” — from the other side of the world — and found myself drawn
to the
space, the silence, and the distance. The light felt sharper, the contrasts clearer, the
materials more direct.
What may seem ordinary to locals often appeared slightly surreal to me.
There is isolation here, yes — but also a generous emptiness: a vastness that offers room to
breathe, to observe, to reflect.
These photographs are small visual notes — like postcards pinned to memory — a way of
looking at a country I have come to admire deeply, perhaps slightly upside down.
